Mission Statement
To discover and share leadership examples from
nature and to apply the knowledge to present-day leadership, thus
enabling future world leaders in becoming the change agents in today's
ever-competitive business world.
Project Nature University - Purpose statement
Project 'Nature University' was envisioned by me
to challenge the students of my project management class to explore
both creative and innovative methods of becoming visionary leaders of
tomorrow.
During the last century, innovations have evolved
exponentially and the human race, after thousands of years of measured
evolution, has been propelled suddenly into a technology age. It is
both an exciting and a perilous time for us right now. It is imperative
we take counsel of a wise teacher which provides a compass for
leadership, so that we, as a race, do not go astray and evolve
ourselves into extinction.
In my opinion, nature is the wisest and most
impartial teacher of all. It has few simple rules, which only if
followed, lead to survival and success; else the consequences are
almost immediate. As we make quantum leaps in technology, it will be
wise to ground ourselves by using teachings and examples of leadership
from nature and from our universe in general.
I commend my students for embracing this challenge
of planning, executing and completing a pioneering global project in
leadership and communications within a condensed semester of 12 weeks,
using modern communication tools including a website, Twitter,
LinkedIn, Facebook, and a Blog.
We welcome you to participate in project 'Nature
University' and contribute the lessons from nature that have shaped
your leadership style and may help save our world tomorrow.
